Peer Supervision
Benefits of Peer Supervision
Alongside my work as a mental health copywriter…
I offer peer supervision as a Peer Work Lead trained in Consumer Perspective Supervision (CPS). My supervision practice supports lived-experience and peer workers to reflect on their practice, strengthen peer identity, and navigate complexity in a way that remains true to peer values.
You can read more about CPS/Peer Supervision here, along with a reflective essay I wrote for the course.
Peer supervision offers a dedicated space for reflection, connection, and professional sustainability that is distinct from line management or clinical supervision.
Through peer supervision, you can:
Strengthen your peer identity and stay grounded in peer values, lived experience knowledge, and shared power
Reflect on practice without judgement, performance management, or clinical framing
Navigate complexity and role tension, including boundaries, role drift, and organisational challenges
Deepen self-awareness around patterns, triggers, and blind spots in a supportive and non-pathologising way
Build confidence and clarity in decision-making that aligns with your values and ethics as a peer worker
Reduce isolation by connecting with someone who understands the realities of peer work
Support sustainability and wellbeing in your role, helping prevent burnout and disconnection
Peer supervision is not about fixing or advising — it is about creating the conditions for thoughtful reflection, learning, and growth, so you can continue to practise with integrity and confidence.
